Legislative Committee to vote on CSEA Contract

February 22, 2019 - Goshen, NY - The Orange County Legislature's Personnel and Compensation Committee will meet today and vote on the Civil Service Employees' Association (CSEA) new five-year contract.  Upon approval of this committee, the contract will go to a final vote of the entire legislature at the March 7th session.

"This five-year contract is fair for the taxpayers as well as the county labor force." Legislator Tom Faggione said.  "County Executive Steve Neuhaus and his team, led by Human Resources Commissioner Steve Gross, worked with union leadership in good faith to craft this deal.  I support the contract and look forward to unanimous support of the entire legislature."

County workers will see honest wage increases over each of the five years of this contract.  New CSEA hires will contribute 12% to 14% towards their health care as part of this agreement.

The contract will carry through 2023.

Orange County Legislature's Personnel and Compensation Committee meets today, Thursday, February 22st, 3:30 pm, in the Statutory Committee Room, 3rd Floor, Orange County Government Center, 255 Main Street, Goshen, NY.
